31 May June is bustin’ out all over: at Telluride’s 5-star Wilkinson Public LIbrary
We did not make up the lyric. It’s Rodgers and Hammerstein from “Carousel.” But it is no less for Telluride’s 5-star Wilkinson Public Library. The action heats up on the grill, Tuesday, June 1, @ noon, when Books & Cooks host Chef Bud reveals the secrets of grilling.
On Friday, June 4, starting at 8:30 a.m., Telluride-based The New Community Coalition is back with Green Business Roundtable #5: “What Even You Can Do to Green Your Space.”
Ever wondered how you might “green up your space”, save energy and use healthy building and remodeling products – then argued it is too expensive, you don’t live in Telluride year-round, and/or don’t have the skills anyway?
Joanna and Daniel Kanow of EcoSpaces provide the community with simple first steps to begin to green your business, office or home, including strategies for remodeling and new construction. Learn the economic reasons for getting on the bandwagon, what products are readily available locally, and why it is important to make these choices now.
GBR #5 also includes a round-table discussion about joint purchasing ideas for businesses and community members in the Telluride region.
Breakfast is provided and donations are accepted. It is recommended attendees bring their own coffee cups, plates, and utensils to minimize waste.
Please RSVP by 3:00 pm on Thurs. June 3, 2010 pm @ 728-1340 or admin.tncc@gmail.com so enough food is ordered.
Sundays at 1:30 pm and Mondays at 10:30 a.m., “Zumba” continues with instructor Virginie Rachart on the Terrace.
