Venus, the Moon and the Pleiades

The beautiful celestial pairing of brilliant Venus and the delicate crescent Moon takes place in the western sky at dusk on the evenings of April 15th and 16th. Also look for Mercury – now faint and very close to the horizon – and watch the MoonPleiades (near the constellation of Aries the Ram) and the distinctive head of Taurus the Bull with its bright "horn" star Aldebaran on April 17th.

We can look forward to Venus pairing up with the New Moon every lunar month throughout the summer – so sweet! Keep your eyes to the skies!
