Destructing and Constructing an Evolutionary New Dawn

TheTower The Taurus/Scorpio Full Moon took place on April 28th @ 4:20 am MDT, bringing to fruition the lunar cycle which began in mid-April with a late degree Aries New Moon. For many, this lunation was intense. I heard rumblings, mumblings and grumblings of irritability and dissatisfaction from personal, private and professional sectors. The world seemed ill-at-ease, restless and discontent, pulling, pushing, yelling and rebelling.

Not only was Mercury retrograde – it will go direct in Taurus @ 4:27 pm on May 11th – but just 36 hours prior to the April 28th Full Moon, the planets Saturn and Uranus exactly opposed each other @ 29º Virgo/Pisces. This was the fourth of five exact oppositions taking place in the time period between the fall of 2008 and the summer of 2010, each one marking a critical balancing and breaking point in our personal, political and professional lives.

WheelofFortune Saturn and Uranus are two planets whose energies diametrically oppose each other. Saturn is form, structure, limitations, boundaries, laws, governments, rules and regulations. It represents our finite, physical reality and the hard work, self-discipline and perseverance it takes to build foundations, erect structures and maintain them. Uranus is the planet of revolution, invention, breakthroughs and break-a-parts. It’s where we explode and expunge, eradicate the old, outworn, out-dated and dysfunctional, champion the new and different, embrace radical truth and think out of the box. Whenever these two planets are in contact by conjunction, square or opposition, the world literally falls apart and comes together over and over, again and again, until the collective paradigm shape-shifts and we awaken to an evolutionary new dawn. It’s a process destruction and construction that feels disruptive and erratic, but also frustrating, limiting and restricting. The function is to awaken and enlighten humanity as a whole, one individual and one unit at a time – for the good of all concerned.

TheSun Whenever we have a new or full moon lunation so close to an earth-shattering “transpersonal” planetary position or aspect, we feel it metaphysically. Emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological receptors pick up the electromagnetism of the cosmos. Did you feel it? Can you hear it? If so, pay attention and heed the call. Recent and current events, experiences and situations  Take a deep breath, listen to your heart, do the best you can, follow your intuition, take it one day at a time and simply do the next right thing.  Good luck and may the Force be with you!

Aries (Mar. 21-Apr.19)   This week’s Full Moon in Taurus/Scorpio illuminates issues of self-reliance and co-dependence. Where are you hanging on to what is no longer healthy or progressive? How can you take more responsibility for yourself and your happiness? Planetary oppositions and conjunctions ignite awakening and portend change. Consider the options.

Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)  Taurus loves the basics: food and shelter, financial security and bodily comfort. Life is an equation and it’s all a process of balancing. Energy expended equals energy returned. While you may not think of yourself as being particularly spiritual, you certainly understand the law of karma. Pay attention, do your best and focus on the here and now. Happy, happy.

Gemini (May 21-June 21)  Clinging to outdated models and beliefs no longer works, and you’re the first to understand and admit it. Planetary patterns portend powerful, ongoing change. The pace has quickened and the noosphere is rapidly morphing, but Mercury retrograde offers you a few weeks of relative quietude amongst the chaos. Recognize your part and cultivate peace.

Cancer (June 22-July 22)  Creature comforts, emotional relationships and financial security are part and parcel of the Taurus zodiac month and recent Scorpio Full Moon lunation. Observe the illumination of whatever and whoever has come to light. We become like those with whom we associate. Therefore, pick and choose good influences and worthwhile characters. Take it easy, relax.

Leo (July 23-Aug.22)  The recent fixed-sign lunation in Taurus/Scorpio may have provoked or challenged your personal authority in professional and/or familial arenas. Rather than jump to conclusions, react with anger or make choices you may eventually regret, take your time and practice patience.
Don’t fight force with force. Rather, concentrate on your own thing.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)  Stepping back from your own ego can be difficult, especially when you’re in denial that you have one. Recent shake-ups are taking place in an attempt to enlighten and uplift you. Stay in the present moment and focus on the now. No multi-tasking or double-facing, living in the past or worrying about the future. You’re exactly where you need to be. Let it go!

Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)  Shimmy and shake, rattle and roll – it’s time to release the past and live in the scintillating, vibrant now. So much of what we can’t control, so much of other people’s “stuff” gets in the way of calm serenity and joyful happiness. Then why continue to go there? Libra loves camaraderie and companionship as much as peace and quiet. Just focus on your own stuff.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)  Catharsis and epiphany are companions as you see the light and walk the path. Embrace your own divinity as you live the process of co-creation. Looking for and recognizing signs and omens along the way makes the journey vastly more rewarding. Tap deeply into your heart, feel its love and listen to its wisdom. This is your connection to the cosmos. Enjoy.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)  Jupiter, the Sag ruler, is moving ever closer to revolutionary Uranus in late Pisces. This translates as a time of great breakthrough and awakening for the entire planet, but it’s especially significant for the Archer. Emotional rumbles follow personal enlightenment and radical change is often the result. Take time to make a break, but consider it.

Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)  Global economies continue to break down and break apart in a process of exposition and reconstruction. The ultimate function is positive, but the pain along the path can feel brutal. Always one to make lemonade out of lemons, the time is perfect for entrepreneurs. Business must now be based on a triple bottom line of people, planet and profit. Do your best.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)  The world is your oyster and the sky is the limit. Nice that you love seafood and like to fly. This radical new Aquarian age is spinning out of control. Good thing you understand chaos theory and the inherent creativity at work in the cosmos. Stay on the healing path and remember it’s about progress, not perfection. Magic is in the moment. Be here now.

Pisces (Feb. 19-Mar. 20)  Taurus energy helps us discover what we require to live and survive – it focuses on the basics. Life’s most simple pleasures – good food, fresh air, clean water – are often overlooked in the process of glitzy advertising and mega-media hype. This week, pay attention to what’s real – how you feel, what you do and who you love. Count your blessings, discover grace.
