January 21 to 28, 2010
Visible Planets: Morning: Mercury, Mars and Saturn Evening: Jupiter
Surprised? Well, that’s both Uranus and Aquarius. Expect the unexpected, think outside the box, try something new, change your patterns, do it different. Aquarius is the traditional revolutionary influence, the part of us that wants freedom, liberation and the right to pursue our heart’s desires. It’s where we are truly individual and where we seek out other individuals with whom to share our wildest dreams, highest hopes and most idealist visions.
All the signs evolve and seem to react to the sign prior. Aquarius follows Capricorn, and like all signs upon the revolving tropical zodiac wheel, it takes the knowledge, experience and message of the preceding sign and carries it a few steps further on the soul’s evolutionary journey through the cosmos. Aquarius rebels when it comes to the strict, confining structures and conventional, hierarchal controls of Capricorn, but understands the need for governments and social organizations. A champion of the underdog and a devoted fan of humanitarian causes, Aquarius demands equality, promotes freedom and supports democracy.
So, for the next four weeks, you may as well make friends with those inner and outer revolutionary rebels, fabulous fanatics, luscious lunatics and ingenious geniuses. Otherwise, the universe will do it for you! And, while you’re at it, take a look at some of the people born while the Sun was transiting Aquarius, and you’ll see what I mean: Abraham Lincoln, Bob Marley, Michael Jordan, Ronald Reagan, Sarah Palin, Oprah Winfrey, Jimmy Durante, Chuck Yeager and Paris Hilton. Good luck!
Aries (Mar. 21-Apr.19)
While Capricorn themes of transformation via hard work and effort continue, the Sun and Venus enter Aquarius, encouraging freedom and room to roam. The adventurous, independent Ram gets the message and rapidly moves toward honest, open people and relationships. True love is allowing yourself and others to be authentically who they are. And so it is.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
Ruler Venus in your solar 4th house of personal security and family heritage mollifies domestic relationships and smoothes the way for peace and serenity at home. You may desire to enhance your immediate surroundings or suddenly appreciate the beauty of where you live. In all cases, cultivate tranquility inside and out. Love and let go. Kiss and hug.
Gemini (May 21-June 21)
The heavy holiday energy of Capricorn fades in the rearview mirror as you drive forward into air Aquarius. It’s time to open the windows and breathe in freedom. Release worry and embrace liberty. Recognize the wildly powerful strength of mind and pay attention to your thoughts. Notice the connection between thinking and manifestation. Yes or no?
Cancer (June 22-July 22)
Prepare yourself for a month of enhanced business negotiations and relationship mediation as the Sun and Venus enter your solar 8th house of shared assets and financial partnership. You may also experience the great value of loyalty as you discover secret intrigues and identify those worthy of trust. Focus on friendship and practice being a good one.
Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
Mars in Leo and Saturn in Libra are retrograde in fire and air, respectively, rekindling sparks and reigniting flames of passion and desire in body, mind and spirit. You may feel strongly “right” or want to justify your actions to a lover or partner from the past. Open the cage and let the bird fly free. Your heart wants liberation. Release and let go.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
As the Capricorn eclipse window slowly closes, feel the power of love in and all around you. Happiness is an inside job and Virgo is the essence of happiness via self-improvement. Wish yourself happiness and the root of happiness, peace and the root of peace, joy and the root of joy. Discover the boundless well of a loving heart and share it with the world. No fear.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
Ruler Venus in Aquarius trines Saturn in Libra this week, encouraging deepening friendships and more serious commitments regarding romantic and creative endeavors. Release your attachments to outcomes, if possible, and let the Universe weave its magic web of inspiration and experience necessary for an opus Magnus. Trust the mystery and live the dream.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
The Sun and Venus enter Aquarius and Jupiter enters Pisces this week, painting the cosmic canvas with subtle tones of electric blue and turquoise green. A steamy, dreamy creation of love and light evolves at home and in your heart as beauties dance in body and spirit. Focus on your personal best and cultivate compassion with yourself and others.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
Magnanimous planet Jupiter moves from Aquarius into Pisces this week for a one-year stay. This heralds shifting seas and changing tides for the Archer as you begin to hear the rumble of the road and intuit the multi-dimensional, multi-faceted possibilities of our ever-expanding universe. All in time, the day will come. For now, do your best and keep it cool.
