Feliz y Prospero Ano 2010!
PalmSolstice This year, I’ll be watching the Full Moon rise over the Sea of Cortez, thinking about everyone back home in Colorado – the snow, the crystalline ice and the cold, cold air. Wishing you all the very, very best in this second decade of this New Age Millennium!

2009 draws to a close with a super-powerful “supermoon” lunar eclipse @ 10º 14’ Capricorn/Cancer. Full Moons, and especially eclipses, call us to release what is no longer serving our growth. And they have a fabulous way of illuminating exactly what we need to let go of. Cancer deals with emotions and emotional reactions. It’s how we instinctively react to life’s circumstances and experiences. Cancer is the little baby, the child, and the part of us that wants to be protected and feel secure. Capricorn is the adult, the boss, and the mature wise one who holds the scepter and is in control. It represents our wisdom and maturity, our ability to accept responsibility and take realistic, practical action to resolve problems and accomplish goals. Capricorn is the protected and Capricorn is the protector.

Full Moons are all about balance and equilibrium. We are asked to see both sides of the coin, hear both sides of the story and make clear, calculated deductions and decisions after we’ve thoroughly examined the dualities, polarities and opposites. And, usually, even if we aren’t looking for the opposing force or opinion, it’s somehow handily exposed.

As a closing dénouement to a year of radical change and strong political polarity, the Dec. 31st New Year’s Eve lunar eclipse delivers a strong dose of Capricorn – the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Pluto and the Moon’s North Node are all in the zodiac’s tenth sign – reminding us that we are part of a social structure, a society of individuals subject to laws and regulations, governments and ruling bodies. We must recognize our part in the bigger picture and accept responsibility for our actions. It’s all about working toward a better world and building the structures for a new, more workable, more practical, utilitarian reality.

Buena suerte and Feliz Ano Nuevo 2010!

Aries (Mar. 21-Apr.19)
The Capricorn/Cancer Full Moon lunar eclipse delivers a strong dose of social consciousness to head and heart. You may feel poignantly aware of other’s opinions and while you remain fiercely independent, you have to admit you care. The key is in being and doing your best, all the time. Focus on maturity and responsibility. Manifest your own greatness.

Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
Integrity, karma and consequences are themes as the Moon eclipses the Sun. Embrace the joy of life as you walk your talk and reap the rewards of determination, perseverance and steadfastness. As the captain of your fate, keep a clean ship and stay awake when you’re on watch. When off duty, relax and self-nourish. Be good and kind to body, mind and spirit.

(May 21-June 21)
Mars retrograde in Leo continues to stir up mental images and ideas about the past. What you’ve done, how you’ve done it and why. Consider a revolutionary change of thinking and perception. Live totally in the now. Forget about why and accept what is. You stand upon the brink of an exciting new era. Use it to clarify your goals and pursue your destiny.

(June 22-July 22)
The energy of this powerful “supermoon” lunar eclipse encourages Moonchildren to reclaim what has been projected onto famous or powerful figures – “superheroes” – as their own. It’s time to skillfully co-create with Mother Nature and Father Sky. Embrace the Great Mystery and commune with the stars. Ask for angelic assistance and follow the signs.

Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
You may need to relax and take it easy this week as you recover from holiday revelries and indulgence. Even if you’re feeling all right physically, pamper the soul and psyche. Health is truly wealth and it’s time to get rich. Relax and breathe. Walk and rest. Drink plenty of clean, clear water and eat nutritious foods. Take inventory and make plans.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
A strong dose of Capricorn jumpstarts the heart and fans flames of love and desire. Whether it’s romance or a project of creative self-expression, put your whole self into and behind the task. Manifest greatness, demonstrate passion. Proceed one step and one day at a time. Focus on steady effort and patient progress. And always remember, recovery first.

Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
The cardinal points light up as the Cancer/Capricorn lunar eclipse illuminates who you are, where you came from and where you’re destined to go. Integrity and virtue are valuable tools to have along the winding road of life. Character is destiny and it’s essential to cultivate goodness if you seek joy and good fortune. Be true to self and honest with others.

(Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
You feel somehow in synch with the natural flow and willing to go with the mo, no matter where it leads. Unusual circumstances dictate unusual behaviors. Accept what comes and do your best. Be responsible for the effort and let the universe take care of the outcome. Pay attention to internal dialogues and practice letting go of nonsense. Stay sweet.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
You may feel overtaxed or overwhelmed with responsibilities, but just take a moment to remember how and why you signed up. Achievement is a good thing and you love to be on top. Perhaps it’s time for a thorough self-inventory and self-review. Be honest, but be kind. There’s always room to grow and plenty left to discover. Think positive and get real.

Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
A powerful “supermoon” lunar eclipse in the Capricorn birthday month portends a year of great awakening, illumination and manifestation. Personal talents are brought to light as moonbeams shimmer upon your path of destiny. With love and money planet Venus close by, expect to see great romantic and financial opportunities. Be wise, be good, be sweet. Good luck!

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Invisible forces influence your thoughts and perceptions as lunar light exposes subconscious desires. You may experience vivid dreams and  rediscover long-buried feelings as you journey down memory lanes in altered states. Embrace spirit and explore new paths. Ongoing personal healing and growth continues. Connect with the divine within and cultivate inner peace.

Pisces (Feb. 19-Mar. 20)
Mercury retrograde throws you back to Dec. 30, 2001, when a Cancer/Capricorn lunar eclipse opened doors of friendship and camaraderie. At that time, dreams and visions were huge. Examine where you went and what you saw. Redefine goals and consider paths to their fruition. It’s time to simultaneously get serious and take it easy. Yes!
