Telluride: A night out on the town

Telluride: A night out on the town

Towns across America get tricked out for the holidays. The thing that makes Telluride so very special is what goes on behind the lights and tinsel. Case in point: tonight.

Tonight Jeb Berrier, Buff Hooper and Ashley Boling performed "The Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged," all 37 plays in 97 minutes – we plan to see that show on Monday –  the Telluride Choral Society held a party to say good-bye to its artistic director, Dr. David Lingle – he will be sorely missed – KOTO radio hosted "Savoy" at the Telluride Conference Center. Telluride Inside…and Out opted to visit Between the Covers, where manager Daiva Chesonis hosted a book-signing for beloved local writers Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer ("Intimate Landscapes," a book of new poetry) Rob Story ("Telluride Storys, tales and rants). And at The Wilkinson Public Library, Barbel Hacke, Suzanne Cheavens, Suz Remec, Cindy Carver, and Molly Papier, the all-women rock band known as The 525s, lit up the joint like firecrackers on the Fourth of July.
