KOTO’s Travel Fun tours America’s best zoos

Telluride radio host Maribeth Clemente takes us on a tour of America's best zoos on her popular program, Travel Fun. The show airs tomorrow, Tuesday, November 17, 6:30 p.m., on KOTO radio in Telluride and at www.koto.org.  Visiting a zoo is one of the most affordable means of entertainment in our country and some 150 million people go to zoos every year.  Maribeth will be interviewing Allen W. Nyhuis, co-author of "America's Best Zoos: A Travel Guide for Fans and Families."  Nyhuis will be talking about two zoos in our own backyard: the Denver Zoo and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs.  Both offer twinkling lights programs for the holiday and winter season.  Maribeth will soon be blogging about them and posting the podcast of her interview with Nyhuis at her Web site/blog, www.bonjourcolorado.com.
