"As Above, So Below"

Universe_man This week’s Dec. 2nd Full Moon in the Sagittarius/Gemini polarity marks the culmination of an on-and-off period of planetary retrogrades that served to bring us back upon ourselves and our experiences. Awakening, change and breakthrough have been themes all year, but we have consistently revisited our decisions and choices, amended plans and reconsidered directions. That’s the nature of retrogrades and, of course, life.

"As above, so below.
" The great astrological dictum. The Hermetic creed. The cosmic truth. And, today, the quintessential quantum-metaphysical law.

Tower On Nov. 4, 2008, the world experienced the first of three exact Saturn-Uranus oppositions. Barack Obama was elected President of the United States. Boom! A revolutionary force exploded (Uranus) upon our established governmental system (Saturn). A young, exciting, charismatic mixed race man (Uranus) was elected to the highest, most powerful position (Saturn) in the land. The known (Saturn) met up with the unknown (Uranus) and the world rocked. At that time Uranus was the only planet in retrograde. A few weeks later, it went direct (all planets were moving forward from Nov. 30th to Dec. 30th) and the rocks rolled.

One year later, we face a similar fate. For the first and only time in 2009 (from Dec. 1st to Dec. 20th) no major planets are retrograde. Uranus stations direct at 23º Pisces just twelve hours before the Full Moon peaks, signaling that we are scheduled for another quantum leap. Expect radical and revolutionary developments, wild events and unprecedented results. Uranus is the archetype of chaos, but it’s the creative chaos that gives birth to galaxies and solar systems, exploding stars and black holes. It’s the divine spark in each of us that shouts out “create!” and inspires the creation, fuels the opus Magnum and invents the invention.

So, for these few brief weeks of planetary oomph, take the road less traveled, think out of the box and expect the unexpected. Unpredictability is the Uranian ingredient inherent in all systems, and it’s these small, seemingly random fluctuations that produce momentous changes.

Embrace the quark and ride the waves, it’s time to break on through!
