"As Above, So Below"

Universe_man This week’s Dec. 2nd Full Moon in the Sagittarius/Gemini polarity marks the culmination of an on-and-off period of planetary retrogrades that served to bring us back upon ourselves and our experiences. Awakening, change and breakthrough have been themes all year, but we have consistently revisited our decisions and choices, amended plans and reconsidered directions. That’s the nature of retrogrades and, of course, life.

"As above, so below.
" The great astrological dictum. The Hermetic creed. The cosmic truth. And, today, the quintessential quantum-metaphysical law.

Tower On Nov. 4, 2008, the world experienced the first of three exact Saturn-Uranus oppositions. Barack Obama was elected President of the United States. Boom! A revolutionary force exploded (Uranus) upon our established governmental system (Saturn). A young, exciting, charismatic mixed race man (Uranus) was elected to the highest, most powerful position (Saturn) in the land. The known (Saturn) met up with the unknown (Uranus) and the world rocked. At that time Uranus was the only planet in retrograde. A few weeks later, it went direct (all planets were moving forward from Nov. 30th to Dec. 30th) and the rocks rolled.

One year later, we face a similar fate. For the first and only time in 2009 (from Dec. 1st to Dec. 20th) no major planets are retrograde. Uranus stations direct at 23º Pisces just twelve hours before the Full Moon peaks, signaling that we are scheduled for another quantum leap. Expect radical and revolutionary developments, wild events and unprecedented results. Uranus is the archetype of chaos, but it’s the creative chaos that gives birth to galaxies and solar systems, exploding stars and black holes. It’s the divine spark in each of us that shouts out “create!” and inspires the creation, fuels the opus Magnum and invents the invention.

So, for these few brief weeks of planetary oomph, take the road less traveled, think out of the box and expect the unexpected. Unpredictability is the Uranian ingredient inherent in all systems, and it’s these small, seemingly random fluctuations that produce momentous changes.

Embrace the quark and ride the waves, it’s time to break on through!

(Mar. 21-Apr.19)
It’s full speed ahead as exciting Uranus stations direct Dec. 1st. For the first and only time in 2009, all planets will be moving forward. Schedule a quantum leap and pursue heartfelt passions. Look for radical and revolutionary developments regarding dreams manifestation. Be responsible for the effort and let the Universe take care of the outcome.

(Apr. 20-May 20)
Trust and faith – two concepts the Bull doesn’t often rely upon – are major ingredients in today’s bubbling Sagittarius brew. New or sudden developments at home and in professional arenas force you to look at the big picture and then take responsibility for your part in it. What appears chaotic is actually creative. One thing and one day at a time, go forth.

(May 21-June 21)
Other people, outside forces and the external world present you with a multitude of options and opportunities. Things are happening fast, but it’s imperative to focus on the practical and possible. Positive attitudes and idealistic visions must be backed up by good old-fashioned hard work and self-discipline. Manifest creative talents via productive effort.

(June 22-July 22)
The waxing Moon brings personal closure to old emotional business regarding matters of self-destruction and self-undoing. Whatever you’ve done in the past is now history. It’s time to see the forest for the trees and change course. Vibrantly embrace the present, establish a daily practice and follow a path of health, wellness and self-betterment.

(July 23-Aug.22)
Motivated Mars has kept things moving at a relatively fast pace, but hold on to your hats – the planets shift into high gear and the race is on. Rather than waste gas by revving your engines in a staging duel or dizzy-dancing out of control, focus on the most effective and efficient use of your talents and time. Check motives, be pure of heart and go for greatness.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
Master Teacher Saturn’s recent exit from your sign may have lessened the pressure and lightened the burden, but let’s be real – there’s no lack of things to do. Think of it as job security, whether or not you’re getting paid. The personal investment and physical improvement is more than worth the effort. It’s all about personal responsibility. Get ‘er done!

(Sep. 23-Oct.22)
Mentally stimulating emotions, childhood memories and creatively fueled perceptions encourage you to write, draw or design your opus Magnus. You are being challenged to walk the path of goal manifestation and accomplishment. Take advantage of the rapid cosmic flow, stay in the current and go with the mo. Stay clean, practice self-discipline and be sweet.

(Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
As voluptuous Venus bids adieu to Scorpio and enters neighboring Sagittarius, acknowledge the power of beauty and the grace of peace. Cultivate a sense of equanimity in your daily round, accept responsibility for your thoughts and practice the art of loving-kindness. As professional action speeds up, prioritize self-care. Stay calm, be cool and relax at home.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
Thanksgiving is for giving thanks, counting blessings and sharing the harvest. As the quintessential Sagittarian holiday, enjoy the beauty and bounty of your health and wealth, show up for others and illuminate the goodness of life. Full Moon energy pulls you out and about. Enjoy the camaraderie, but maintain healthy boundaries. Know when to say when.

(Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
The waxing fruition of the December full Moon pushes buttons and generates emotions regarding past lovers and partners. Whether you find yourself yearning for something that might have been or dwelling on what was, it’s time to let go and move forward. You must now focus on accomplishment and career rather than illusion. Shift gears and go forth.

(Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
An individual leap of faith coupled with a collective shift in consciousness comes via the magical 72º pentagram aspect of the Sun to the Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune conjunction in Aquarius. This is a time for freedom, experimentation and change. Feel, deal and heal. The cosmos favor honesty, integrity and ingenuity. Follow your heart and stay on the path.

(Feb. 19-Mar. 20)
This is a dynamic week of challenge and inspiration for the Fish. The rather radical, revolutionary influence of Uranus in Pisces has revamped and revitalized your life. Since July 1st, it has been retrograde. On Dec. 1st it resumes forward motion. Prepare yourself for a sparkling, dazzling magic carpet ride through the cosmos. Just know what you want before you take off.
