She hit the ground running after her move to Telluride from the Big Apple, where Sasha Cucciniello was a founding member of CuriousNoise Theatre and a company actor with Red Metal Mailbox. The company she founded in Telluride, SquidShow Theatre – she is also its primary director, writer, producer, and actor – is defined by original, edgy theatre at the right price. Up next: Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley’s “The Dreamer Examines His Pillow,” (1985), part of “The Play’s The Thing,” SquidShow’s staged reading series.
“The Dreamer” is an anguished comedy, in which three unhappy people exchange metaphors about the fear that comes from loving too much – or the hormonal reverie we call love.
“The Dreamer Examines His Pillow” takes place Thursday night, September 24, 8:30 pm, The Cantina at Las Montanas, 100 West Colorado. Admission is FREE.
