15 Sep Telluride’s SquidShow Theatre: “Bear It”
Telluride's SquidShow Theatre, in support of Black Bear Awareness Week, presents an original play by Sasha Cucciniello and Colin Sullivan: "Bear It! – Bear Safety for the 21st Century." The FREE event is one night only,Tuesday, September 15, 8 p.m., Fly Me to the Moon Saloon, 132 East Colorado Avenue.
“I was thrilled that when I approached Sasha with this special request and she was interested," said Karen Guglielmone, Public Works Manager, Town of Telluride. "Getting adults interested and engaged in an event for Telluride’s Black Bear Awareness Week has been nearly impossible over the last four years. So, for this fifth and final year of a formal, educational ‘Awareness Week’, I really wanted to get to folks most at risk for meeting a bear late at night on the street or in an alley – adults who are out later at night. Squidshow Theatre productions appeal to that very audience.”
"Bear It!" is part puppet show, part musical, part bears and much more.
