Meredith Nemirov featured in Ah Haa’s silent auction

Meredith Nemirov is among the more than 100 artists featured in the silent auction at Telluride's Ah Haa School for the Arts' 17th annual fundraiser, Friday, July 24, 5 p.m., 300 South Townsend.

Meredith Nemirov has inspired Ah Haa students for years, teaching them composition, color and painting techniques through studio and on-site demos and an in-depth look at the work of classical and contemporary painters. Even her representational images are never literal interpretations of the thing itself. Meredith is all about expressing the vibe she receives from her subject matter: aspen trees, butterflies, townscapes, landscapes, people.

Her latest work, mixed media abstractions based on the theme of butterflies, is on display at the Durango Arts Center, 802 East Second Avenue,  through August.
