03 May TIO in Pittsburgh
Our Spring travels from Telluride have been working vacations. Daughters Kimm Viebrock in Bellevue, Washington, and Kjerstin Klein in Pittsburgh, are essential TIO team members. In both places we have been working on back office stuff for Telluride Inside… and Out.
But Saturday, May 2, was a different kind of day, for Kjerstin is not only a big part of the TIO operation, she is a mother of two, and a Cho Dan Bo in Tang Soo Do, traditional Korean karate. Grandson Dylan (10 years old) is a first degree Cho Dan Black belt, and 7 year old Anna has earned her Orange belt. I observed as all three competed in a national martial arts tournament on Saturday. All three competed in Forms and Breaking, and Anna and Dylan were involved in sparring as well. It was great to see them in action, and there were even a few trophies.
Congratulations Anna, Dylan and Kjerstin, for for a spendid showing in a very competitive field.
