03 May The Moab Classic Car Show
The last weekend in April is a wild time to go visit neighboring Utah – Moab, Utah that is. Every year at that time hundreds of motor heads, bikers, kids, teenagers, moms, dads, hot shots, hot rods, antique, vintage and classic cars descend upon this red rock town of recreational imperative.
April Action is what it’s called and for several years now, I haven’t missed out on this fabulous display of metal and magic. From rat-rods to dragsters, 57 Chevy Nomads, coupes and convertibles, to Pontiacs, Buicks, Fords, sleek Corvettes and 40’s Mac trucks, this show is awesome. It’s down home and local, fun and fantastic. If you’re interested in going next year, or want to check it out, you can click on the link above or google Moab Classic Car Show. Rooms are always sold out and people book a year ahead, so be forewarned if you want to find lodging.
I’ve been making the ride to Moab to see the car show for years now, sometimes on a motorcycle, sometimes by car – depending on the weather – and I’ve never been disappointed. This year we almost didn’t go – it was blustery and cool here in Redvale – but we decided to go on ahead and I’m so glad we did. Not only did we get to see my favorite Corvettes, Cadillacs and Chevys, we also experienced the warm, embracing weather Moab is so famous for. See you next year!
