I recently built my own website – www.alacazem.com – and in the process I reconnected with Venus – planet of love, art and creative desire. Moving retrograde through the cardinal sign of Aries the Ram, Venus has been retracing the territory it traveled in March to early February. In my natal chart this journey takes place in the 11th house of shared hopes and dreams, future visions and collectively held goals. It is a house of inspiration, ruled by air Aquarius and the planets Uranus and Saturn.

Everyone knows – don’t they? – that we are presently in the budding phase of the revolutionary new Age of Aquarius. But everyone may not know that Aquarius rules information and knowledge, electricity and electronics, technology, inventions and – of course! – the Internet. It also rules the collective heart, friends, associates and associations, camaraderie and fellowship. Wherever one finds Aquarius in the natal chart is where one discovers “we” – our heartfelt connection to humanity, and our purest intentions and desires for becoming essential and effective contributing factors to a more progressive, more enlightened whole. It is here we offer our gifts and talents, energy and efforts to the world, with little or no attachment to the outcome.

In a natal chart, the 11th house is the “Aquarian” stage, and when a planet transits through this sector of the chart, it invites and assists us to take action in the Aquarius-ruled areas of our lives by way of that transiting planet's particular strengths and fortes. Saturn encourages structure and self-discipline, while Uranus encourages change. Mars encourages us to fight for what we want and Venus encourages us to create art and beauty.

So what did I do? Venus, goddess of love and beauty, entered my 11th house in early February. I reconnected with an artist/shaman friend who happens to be very savvy with computers and the Internet. We shared information and knowledge, decided to trade time for time in a collaborative effort to make each of our lives as individuals more globally and cosmically. I gave her an astrological reading – astrology is an Aquarius-ruled science – and she helped me find my way through cyberspace – also Aquarius-ruled.

It took a while – thank goodness Venus was retrograde! – but I’m now a happy cyber-spider spinning threads in the world wide web – interfaced and interwoven. Check out my website and see the results. Aries (Mar. 21-Apr.19)
Love-planet Venus resumes forward motion this week and will soon be revisiting Aries. Think back to early Feb. for a mini-preview of what to expect in romance, finance and relationships. You’ll be given another chance to get it right as you travel already familiar territory. Prepare for a coming month of more activity and action. Maintain momentum.

Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
The Sun enters Taurus on Apr. 19th and birthday celebrations begin. Ruler Venus goes direct and also changes signs. Expect to feel more support from the cosmos as things fall in place and you know what to do. Embrace personal power and move ahead with patience and persistence. Don’t give up on creative visions; keep working on their manifestation.

Gemini (May 21-June 21)
As the Sun moves from Aries to Taurus, you may feel a bit out of synch or in social disarray. Focus on career progress as professional breakthroughs continue. Uranus in your solar 10th house of achievement demands creative change. It may feel unstable, insecure and risky, but the Universe offers great gains to those who follow their heart.

Cancer (June 22-July 22)
Prepare for a month of heightened activity regarding professional attention and social status. This is a great time to express or expose artistic talents on the job or in the boardroom. Others see you as attractive and creative, someone capable of enhancing the workplace and world. Take charge of the situation, but remain diplomatic. Be sweet.

Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
Aries fires are calmed by Taurus earth and over-the-top behaviors and wild-eyed dramas end. Take a break from the chaos and relax. It’s time for self-control and self-discipline. Recognize the power of choice. Make a plan and pace yourself. Infuse reality with hope and maintain artistic visions as you progress steadily toward your goals. Love the dream.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22)
The final week of the Aries lunar cycle pulls the Virgin inward for a thorough, final look at finance, sexual relations and partner psychology. How does money affect your sense of self and self-esteem? Are you maintaining healthy boundaries or acting-out impulsively? Be realistic and live within your means. Accept responsibility and live free.

Libra (Sep. 23-Oct.22)
Mars and Venus conjunct in late Pisces this week offer up a new beginning regarding health and beauty. You want to look and feel good and it’s finally time to take action on those long-overdue programs of physical self-improvement. The stars line up and success is on the way. Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
The Sun rises above your personal celestial horizon and enters the realm of social and professional activities and interactions this week. You may feel ready to make a debut of sorts or take your work out in public. In any case, you’re ready for more visibility and attention. Explore the Internet and make contacts. Express creative talents and break out!

Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
An exciting, long-time-coming male/female, yin/yang opportunity for creative or romantic self-expression presents itself this week. Demonstrate artistic talent via personal effort and pursue passions. Your desire to have fun is on the rise, but it’s imperative that you maintain focus and live up to responsibilities and commitments. Be calm, be cool.

Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
Take a deep breath and prepare for a zodiac month of enhanced creativity and self-motivation. Personal plans and agendas are running hot. It’s time for less thinking and more acting. Pisces (Feb. 19-Mar. 20)
