Mollie Fast in free concert at Christ Church in Telluride Sunday night

These song birds seem to pop up our of nowhere,  then their talent hits you like a fresh blast of gale force wind and bowls you over. Joey Lindly (the madam in "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" and Adelaide in "Guys & Dolls) and Jade Graham, (Sister Sarah in "Guys & Dolls" and Roxy Hart in "Chicago") are two of those woman. Guaranteed Mollie Fast is another whose name will soon be on everyone's lips.

Mollie's coming out party is  Sunday night, February 8, 5 p.m., when she performs a concert of Italian, French, and German art songs, a few tunes from the mother country – the music of Paul Creston, Alessandro Scarlatti, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, Gabriel Faure, Franz Peter Schubert – and Broadway hits.

Mollie moved to Norwood with her now husband Jerrod in 2003. She currently sings with the Telluride Renaissance Singers and the Telluride Choral Society.
