12 Jan The clock is ticking. Time to R.S.V.P.
The Regional Sustainability Visioning Project is a new initiative spearheaded by The Telluride region’s The New Community Coalition (TNCC) and a call to arms for our extended community.
RSVP kicks off tomorrow, January 13, at 6 p.m. at the Mountain Village Council Meeting Room.
The community conversation begins with a presentation about “Our Changing Regional Economy,” a synopsis of current conditions and trends in the regional economy. Interest groups will be formed and tasked to research the health and wealth of their specific areas of economic activity to develop a vision of economic sustainability for the future.
Mountain Village Mayor Bob Delves, a member of the Steering Committee, explains: “Our local economy is surprisingly shallow and fragile. As a community, we need to develop a common understanding of what really drives our economic engine, and then find common ground on which to build economic sustainability.
