Telluride Mountainfilm is the annual gathering of the tribe over Memorial weekend. What began as an adrenaline rush has evolved into Ground Zero for the survival of the planet through films and talks featuring world-renowned experts on the subjects of endangered species and ideas.
Every holiday season, Mountainfilm has hosted a fundraiser, using its inspiring programs as bait to lure potential supporters.
This year, mindful of the times and the need of many to tighten their belts, the nonprofit has shifted gears, raising its ho ho ho quotient by developing a FREE family après ski event.
The program of shorts begins at 5:30 p.m. today, December 26, at the historic Sheridan Opera House. If you already have tickets for The Palm’s fundraiser, a screening of “Valkyrie,” you can attend both shows, because the Mountainfilm party lasts just an hour and a half. Doors open at 5 p.m.
